Guidance and Hope from Scripture
Embarking on a new journey or chapter in life can be both exhilarating and daunting. At such pivotal moments, the Bible, with its timeless wisdom, offers comfort and direction. Here are some verses from the King James Version (KJV) that beautifully encapsulate the essence of new beginnings and the hope they bring.
- Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” This verse is a powerful reminder of God’s ability to bring about change and renewal, even in the most unlikely places.
- Lamentations 3:22-23: “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” These lines speak to the refreshing and renewing nature of God’s mercy, which is as constant and sure as each new dawn.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” In this verse, the transformative power of faith is highlighted, emphasizing a complete renewal of self and perspective.
- Philippians 3:13-14: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” Paul’s words here encourage us to focus on the future, letting go of the past to embrace what lies ahead.
- Revelation 21:5: “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.” This verse from Revelation offers a vision of ultimate renewal and restoration, a promise of new beginnings at the grandest scale.
As these verses illustrate, the Bible is a source of immense encouragement and guidance for those embarking on new beginnings. It reminds us that with faith, resilience, and God’s guidance, every new journey can be a path to growth, learning, and profound transformation.

Here is A Great New Way to Read Your Bible!
A new Bible reading program has been released which approaches the Bible in a new and unique way than most people are used to. It offers the reader an opportunity to read all of the way through the Bible – to do it chronologically – and to do it in just a year! For people who have never done that, which includes the vast majority of people, it offers them a chance to stand out in their peer groups, and to satisfy their deep desire to please the God they serve.
It is a known fact that:
Less than 10% of all Christians have ever read the Bible all of the way through. Many have never even considered doing it, or thought it was not attainable for them.
This is a refreshing approach to the Bible. It may become the standard for this way of approaching the Bible.
