The world that we are seeing with our eyes is not permanent and we all have to leave this place once we die. In the beginning, God had a wonderful plan for mankind but Adam’s sin brought a curse upon this earth.
Because of that, we became God’s enemy due to our sins but Jesus washed away our sins with his blood. But all are not righteous because they are still walking in their sin and following the traditions of this world.
So we can agree on a particular point that we are living in a turmoil condition. We need to be careful because this is not our permanent dwelling place.
The Bible says Satan is our real enemy whom we cannot see with our naked eyes. He works through the men. In this case, often we misunderstand and blame people who hold different ideas and work the act of the devil.
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
As the Bible reveals the truth and makes us know what is actual. Here we can see that Satan has corrupted the minds of our people and led them toward death. As Satan is controlling them and reigning over them so they are acting in accordance with his schemes.
We cannot change the heart and mind of a person whom we find walking in sin. But we have the hope and power that Jesus has given to us. We must pray for those people who live their lives under Satan’s control.
1 John 5:14 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.”
We have the authority of God’s power to exercise over them and they will surely be changed. As the scripture says that if we seek anything according to the will of God then he will answer us and save those people whom we can view our enemies from the human perspective.
Things begin to change the moment we start to pray for our enemies. The Bible teaches us that the word of God is powerful and active (Hebrews 4:12) and it works when we apply it with faith.
First of all, we must remove the wrath and anger that we have in our hearts for our enemies. Jesus says we to love those who persecute us so we need to think and view them as our own brothers and sisters. The moment we consider them as our own brothers and sister we will cultivate the love in our hearts for them.
When we pray for our enemies, The Lord starts to work in their hearts and they get the presence of the Lord. Afterward, they feel the need for the Lord. It is true that God can completely change what we cannot imagine.
It may seem impossible but with God, it is possible. He is the Lord who can make a way in the midst of the sea. He can heal a death, restorer a sick. All these are possible because he is almighty.
We should pray for our enemies so they can also get the light of Jesus who is the way, truth, and life. We cannot bring our enemies before God with our wisdom, strength, and knowledge but our prayers can change their circumstances and they will kneel down before the Lord for seeking guidance and comfort.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful (James 5:16) so we can believe that our prayer for our enemies can bring blessings in their lives and they will also experience the new birth that Jesus has established by the new covenant where one becomes a new creation.
Jesus also commanded us to pray for our enemies so we can expect to see the miracles when we pray for them. It is true that something positive will surely come when we ask God to guide and bless them.
