Scriptures On Overthinking KJV

Scriptures On Overthinking

Jesus has removed our burdens and worries from our lives and we have now the freedom to live where we are to believe him and walk according to his directions.

In the Old Testament, God was with his chosen people and he provided them, food, shelter, and clothes. Even when there was no food for his people he gave them Manna from heaven. In their times of hardships, he consoled them and he also fought on behalf of his people.

The Lord wants us to submit our wills before his feet so he can lead us where we will find joy, peace, and happiness. The fundamental problem of our overthinking is not trusting God with all of our hearts and mind. We try to live a self-controlled life and when we do not meet our expectations we start to think much about our future and family.

The moment we allow God to rule into our lives, we get to know how amazing it is. The scriptures below will help us to know God and how can we be free from overthinking.

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Luke 12:24 “Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?”

Psalm 116:2 “Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Matthew 6:33-34 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

The Bible says to rely on the Lord and he will bless us. Life without the guidance of God gets horrible and all become full of worries. We cannot have peace in our minds. It’s just like a ship in the midst of the sea which has no compass to direct its way.

Colossians 3:2 “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

1 Peter 1:13 “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
