Scriptures On Guarding Your Mind And Controlling Your Thoughts KJV

The words of Jesus make us change our minds and separate ourselves from the acts of sin. We get to know our actual position where we are far from the Lord due to our sin.

In Jesus, we find the man who was created in the righteousness of God and start to live a new life which leads us to please God by walking in his commandments.

Now we should control our emotions and guard our minds so that we can stay free from the works of this world. Our sinful nature will always motivate us to commit sin but we need to control our thoughts to keep ourselves holy in the sight of the Lord.

Let us meditate upon the following bible verses which will give us the wisdom to guard our minds and control our thoughts to overcome the world.

Colossians 3:5 “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”

Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
