The world where we are living today is a temporal place and very soon we shall leave it. But as long as we live here, we have to encounter many incidents throughout our lives. Sometimes we will become happy and sometimes we will face hardships and we start to think about our problems too much.
But we should be happy because we have a great God who is with us and he loves to give us strength to overcome our hard times. The word of God is the perfect medicine for all our sicknesses. It has the power to give us joy and happiness in times of trial.
In this world, none will show us the right path of our life except the word of God. So the following scriptures will help us to overcome our hard times that may appear big trouble to us but after reading the scripture we will get comfort and courage to live a peaceful life.
Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.”
The Lord is our hiding place and we have hope in him. He loves us and thinks for us. So, in times of difficulties, we need to approach him with prayer and a pure heart. The Lord wants to speak with us through his scripture but we are so busy with our works.
Sometimes God speaks with us by bringing hard times in our lives. In such times we must come closer to him and he will strengthen us by his righteousness.
Psalm 9:9-10 “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
Psalm 32:7-8 “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
We are so special in the sight of God and our sufferings have some meaning and we should seek it by opening our spiritual eyes. The sufferings that we go through actually make us understand God’s goodness.
Our trials and hard times will not last forever but we will have rewards after this and we shall be given the new earth where we will live forever and no more sufferings and hard times will never take place.
Romans 8:18 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
1 Peter 1:6-7 “Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ”
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
We must be brave in times of hardships because God has asked us not to fear. Fear comes when we remove our faith from him. The Lord is with us and all of his plans are for our prosperity and growth.
In times of difficulties, we need to confront with courage because God is in control and we are able to overcome by his strength.
Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
James 1:2-4 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Psalm 50:15 “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”
1 Corinthians 13:7 “Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”
Psalm 34:17-18 “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Jesus is the solution for each and every single problem. Jesus is the prince of peace and he is able to deliver us from all our troubles. He has lived a life of suffering and pain and knows what we can bear and what we cannot.
In Jesus, we have the peace and he left his peace on this earth and we shall be blessed by receiving his peace through faith and patience in hard times.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
James 1:12 “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
