We are here on this earth to walk according to the will of God. Though we have the freedom to lead our lives the way we intend yet we need to be very careful concerning following the dreams that we make for our comfort.
Life without Jesus is just like walking in a forest without any directions. This world is a place where we need to go through the test of the future where we will dwell forever.
Our flesh always seeks comfort and desires to stay away from all kinds of difficulties. But Jesus says to walk in the spirit in order to save our soul which holds life itself.
Instead of running after this world, we need to surrender our plans, wills, and dreams to the Lord and he will lead us with his wisdom and righteousness. Submitting our dreams to the Lord eventually helps us to receive blessings from above.
Let us read the Bible verses below that will guide us to walk with the Lord in order to be blessed.
Proverbs 19:21 “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.”
Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”
Usually, we make so many plans for our lives but we do not know whether they are good for us or not. As we do not know the future, it would be a foolish act to make a plan for our future.
We are sinners and we are bearing the sin that always contradicts the works of God. Our sin misguides us and keeps on working to separate us from the Lord. Being a sinner we cannot walk in righteousness so we need God’s guidance and directions to be righteous and prosper in this world.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God has the best plans in his mind for our better life. We should come before him and seek his presence in our life to allow him to fulfill his thoughts over our lives. He is trustworthy and he always fulfills what he says.
He has promised us to give peace and joy and finally fulfill our desires when we trust him and walk in his promises.
Psalm 33:11 “The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.”
Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”
Proverbs 21:5 “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.”
Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Proverbs 16:3 “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Psalm 37:4 “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
Matthew 17:20 “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
